Wet Paint is a 1,255 word mystery shortfic. while flowery, its extreme brevity prevents it from becoming obnoxious, and it ultimately delivers on its premise.
some might question how much intrigue could be crammed into just over a thousand words, and be right to. in all honesty, this feels more at home in an anthology, but as a standalone story? it's better than most of the crap coming out.
