Damned are the Guilty is a 57k word crossover where the Punisher arrives to Equestria following a superpowered criminal.
I'm not sure how this ended in my bookshelves, but I had fun.
I won't say it's a masterpiece or anything, but it proved to be enjoyable. I liked how the author never tried making Frank Castle into a tragic figure. He's a monster. He acknowledges it. Everyone knows it. He's great.
Another highlight is the way Twilight is shown to barely manage the stress of being a Princess and an... Ambassador(?) of Friendship. Is that how they were called once they stopped being Element Bearers? Anyway, she's shown to be reaching her limit when it comes to dealing with villains. They always keep coming back. There's always new ones that pop up. And with Tirek coming back thanks to a cult of his followers, what a perfect time for someone who makes sure villains don't come back to appear in Equestria.
It's silly, it's fun, and it takes itself seriously enough to tell its story.
If, for some reason, you're in the mood for a crossover that in general isn't as violent as you'd imagine, you can do much worse than Guilty are the Damned.
