Do you hate Spike? Do you hate Spike, but also want to read a story about him? Then this is for you.
The Dragon and the Photograph is an 11,4k word sadfic where an older dragon who was once called Spike reminisces about the time he spent with Rarity, and how he loved her.
Joking aside, this story is pretty nice. It is hard on Spike. He just has to see Rarity live her life while he lets his unrequited feelings simmer inside of him. We get a few glimpses of their history, and a nice few heartfelt talks between the two.
It's short. It's nice. And if you've ever had one-sided feelings, you'll probably sympathise with what he's feeling.
