Nothing Shocks Me Anymore is a pun. It's also a 6,4k word journal style story about a mare dealing with her life's problems.
I really enjoyed this story. It starts quite simple, with this unknown mare talking about her every day life and her relationship with her sister, as well as her work, and other things. However, as the story goes and she starts talking about her past, you get a bigger picture of what happened to her.
I don't want to spoil what happens and who she is. It becomes apparent a third of the way through the story, anyway. But I think it's done in an interesting way. Apparently the author has suffered mental issues, and he let his experience shape the story. Pretty good overall.
