Very much a product of the early fandom. It has a jolly charm to it that we don't see much of these days. It could plausibly be an actual episode, albeit a dark one. It's nothing mind blowing, but I can see why it's still popular to this day. The fic deliberately has a lot of childish joy and it is sure to infect the reader.
