This was nice, like a cup of a hot beverage in a chilly day. However, what lays in wait at the bottom of that cup is just pain.
Told in a series of vignettes, we come to see Flash and Sunset's relationship grow from its humble beginnings, back when Sunset wasn't full on alpha bitch mode, to the bitter breakup. Exploring their relationship, as well as how Flash viewed Sunset over time was interesting. He really cared about her, and was invested in her well-being. I also liked the little hints about how Sunset is still getting accustomed to Earth.
Their breakup feels natural, too. No big explosion. No heated argument. No crying and yelling. Just both being done.
If you're in the mood for serious relationship drama, this story offers a glimpse of what that is.
