The first of three stories that feature alicorn worldbuilding via Tuna. Twilight professes her love for Luna, but most of this story is here to deliver alicorn magic and mechanics. The first of the two major pieces is a common one, Luna waxing and waning with the moon’s phases. Common, but this depiction is as good as or better than any other and I certainly liked the attributes described for a fully-waxed Luna. The extra spice for this fic, short as it is, is the tie-in between Lunar phases and the sea. As the title says, spring tide.
The fic is terribly short, so there’s not much else to say, but I will also add that the spell Luna teaches Twilight is definitely cool and very “Luna.”
